We are seeking a dedicated and reliable linehaul driver to join our team. This position offers competitive pay and the opportunity to work on long-distance routes across the North and South Islands. The right candidate will play a vital role in our operations, driving various routes including Auckland, Hastings, Palmerston North, and South Island.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Linehaul Driver
  • Pay Rate:$30 -$32 per hour
  • Overnight Staying Away Allowance: $120 per night
  • Truck: Contracted out and dispatched by a secondary company.
  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, with the possibility of odd Saturdays depending on logbook hours. Expect 65-hour weeks on average.
  • Base - Truck could be based in Taupo, Hawkes Bay or Auckland.

    • Responsibilities:

  • Safely drive long distances across the North and South Island, including Auckland, Hastings, Palmerston North, and other South Island locations.
  • Handle freight and cargo according to company standards.
    Stay away from home for overnight stays as required, with the $120 staying-away allowance provided.
  • Comply with all driving hours regulations and company policies.
    Ensure regular communication with the dispatch team for any route or schedule changes.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including logbook hours and compliance reports.

    • Qualifications:

    • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
    • Minimum of 5 years of driving experience, particularly in long-distance linehaul driving.
    • Experience with handling freight and adhering to safety and road regulations.
    • Ability to stay away from home for overnight stays.
    • Flexible to work extended hours and occasional Saturdays.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from the dispatch team.
